Chris Dunmall DC - My Story:

I’m Chris Dunmall, chiropractor and owner of Aceso Chiropractic in Buckingham.

After graduating from AECC in 2010, I spent several years working in established clinics across the UK, supporting a wide range of people—from those dealing with persistent back pain, headaches, and long-standing tension, to individuals balancing the demands of work, family life, or sport, and needing their body to keep up.

Over that time, one thing became clear: lasting change rarely comes from doing more to the body—it comes from doing the right thing, at the right time.

More force, more intensity, more intervention isn’t always the answer.
Often, what the body needs is the right input at the right time—and an environment where it can adapt and reorganise more effectively.

That understanding has shaped the way I work today.

My approach starts by understanding how your body is responding—rather than jumping straight to treatment. From there, care is tailored to you. Sometimes that means a lighter approach. Other times, something more direct. What matters is choosing what’s appropriate for the person in front of me, not following a set routine.

This way of working has been influenced by a range of chiropractic approaches, including Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT), which looks at how different parts of the body work together to create stability and movement. You don’t need to understand the technique—only that the goal is to support your body in a way that makes sense for you.

Some of this way of working has also been shaped by approaches used in high-performance sport, where small, well-timed inputs can make a meaningful difference to how the body functions under pressure.

At Aceso, care always begins with listening and careful assessment. This may include posture and movement observation, orthopaedic and neurological checks where appropriate. From there, we build a plan that feels clear, realistic, and collaborative.

Outside the clinic, I’m a dad to two brilliant boys, Henry and Rory. When I’m not with family, you’ll often find me restoring vintage Model T Fords—a hobby that reflects the same appreciation for how things are built, how they function, and how small, well-timed adjustments can make a meaningful difference over time.
