For most people, our standard chiropractic assessment is exactly the right place to begin and remains at the heart of our work at Aceso.
Inspired by approaches increasingly seen within professional sport, Aceso Performance explores the wider patterns that influence movement, recovery and resilience under load.
Our Philosophy
At Aceso Performance, we see the body as a constantly adapting system.
Every moment, the brain is receiving information from the body and the world around it, using that information to organise posture, balance, movement, muscle tone and recovery.
Most of this happens quietly beneath our awareness.
The quality of that organisation depends, in part, on the quality of the information being received.
The feet provide information about the ground beneath us. The eyes help orientate us in space. The jaw, pelvis, spine and breathing system all contribute to how the body moves, adapts and responds to the demands placed upon it.
When these systems are working together effectively, movement often feels efficient, adaptable and resilient.
When they are not, the body usually finds another way.
The body is remarkably clever at compensating.
The challenge is that compensation is not always the same as efficiency.
This is one of the reasons we rarely focus solely on symptoms.
Two people may arrive with the same complaint yet be operating from very different patterns of movement, tension, coordination and adaptation.
Rather than asking only where something hurts, we are often interested in a different question:

How is this person organising themselves?
Sometimes the influence appears to come from the ground up. Foot function, balance and gait may shape how forces move through the body.
Sometimes the influence appears to come from the top down. Breathing patterns, jaw tension, visual input and stress responses may influence posture, movement and coordination throughout the system.
More often than not, it is a combination of both.
Our role is not simply to identify what hurts or what is moving differently.
It is to better understand how the body is organising itself as a whole and how it is responding to the demands placed upon it.
Because when the body becomes better organised, movement often becomes more efficient, recovery often improves and performance frequently follows.
Not simply sporting performance.
Human performance.
The ability to move through life with greater ease, capacity and confidence.
The Performance Snapshot
Most assessments ask what hurts.
We are often interested in a different question.
How is this body organising itself?
Built around the Aceso philosophy, the Performance Snapshot is a personalised exploration of the patterns influencing movement, recovery and adaptation.
Designed for individuals who are curious about how their body is functioning beyond symptoms alone, it takes a broader view of performance and the factors that shape it.
The process is thoughtful, individual and unhurried.
No two assessments are quite the same.
The outcome is not simply a report.
It is a clearer understanding of how your body is adapting to the demands placed upon it and a roadmap for moving forward, which may include individual recommendations or, where appropriate, a more integrated approach to supporting your health and performance.
Designed for those who value insight as much as intervention.
Availability is intentionally limited to ensure each assessment receives the time, attention and consideration it deserves.
