I Forgot My Wedding Anniversary – And What That Has to Do With Your Spine

This week, I forgot my wedding anniversary. Not because I don’t care. Not because I didn’t want to celebrate. And definitely not because my relationship doesn’t matter to me. I forgot because life is busy – and when we’re juggling work, family, and everything in between, the things that aren’t deeply ingrained habits can simply slip through the cracks.
This got me thinking about spinal health. Most of us have every intention of looking after ourselves. We know we shouldstretch more, sit up straighter, move regularly, breathe deeper. But unless those actions are built into our routines, they often go the same way as anniversaries – good intentions, but forgotten. Especially for those of us in fast-paced or high-pressure roles (hello, performance-driven professionals and multitasking parents), the more stress and demand we’re under, the more we rely on habits to carry us through.
And here’s the catch: research shows it can take around 75 days to form a lasting habit. That means if you want spinal health to be part of your everyday life – whether that’s showing up for your adjustments, doing your breathwork, or simply taking movement breaks – it takes more than a one-off good week. It takes commitment, consistency, and sometimes a little support. That’s what we’re here for. To help you make spinal wellbeing a normal part of your life – not just another forgotten intention.
